Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico

The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico is the centerpiece of the San Juan cultural district and is Puerto Rico's premier museum. The museum is located in the Santurce neighborhood in the city of San Juan along Jose de Diego Avenue.

The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico contains the works of the most prominent Puerto Rican artists from the sixteenth century through artists of today. The permanent collection includes Puerto Rican artists Jose Campeche, Francisco Oller, Ramon Frade, Julio Tomas Martinez, Miguel Pou, Rafael Tufino, and many more. There are also traveling collections that come and go which provide variety and freshness to the museum.

The museum has a gift shop as well as a nice restaurant on site with a "New Caribbean" flavor. There is also a beautiful garden area out back to explore as well.

Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico is open Tuesdays through Saturdays 10am to 6pm and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. The museum is closed on Mondays. The cost for entrance to the museum is $6 per adult and $3 per child, discounts are available for students and seniors.
