Museo de Arte de Ponce
The Museo de Arte de Ponce is located in Ponce, Puerto Rico which is in the south-central portion of the island along the coast of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the best museums in the region and contains western art from 900 BC through the present day. Puerto Rican, Latin American, European, and American art are all featured. The Puerto Rican artists Jose Campeche and Francisco Oller are features of the permanent collection as well as European artists Claude Lorrain, Auguste Rodin, Sir Anthony van Dyck, Lord Frederic Leighton, and Francisco de Goya. In addition, the collection is known for its Italian baroque and pre-raphaelite pieces.
The museum is open weekdays from 10am to 6pm, except the it is closed on Tuesdays. It costs 6 dollars for adults and 3 dollars for children with audio guides costing an additional 2 dollars.
